Utility Information Management System

Boston Edison Company (BECo)

HDM was the principal GIS contractor for BECo's map-based utility information management system. HDM developed a custom ArcInfo/Oracle application that validated over 15 gigabytes of data, and provided tools to access, maintain and visualize key data. The system is one of the largest and most successful implementations of AM/FM/GIS in the world and won the international award for "Excellence in GIS" from GeoSpatial Information and Technology Association (GITA).
