HDM created a GIS tool to analyze the present and future flows of stormwater in the city of Boston. In phase one, HDM combined land use data with storm drain outfall locations and discharge areas. The GIS data were submitted to the EPA with a report on the effects of stormwater on the system. Phase 2 included large scale mapping of drainage areas and included streets, buildings, storm drains, sanitary and combined sewers, manholes, grade changes, and outfall locations.
