Dam Break Analysis/Emergency Evacuation

HDM provided an Emergency Action Plan for the Winsor Dam at the Quabbin Reservoir and the Sudbury Dam in Sudbury, MA. The plan included a simulated Dam Break Analysis, Flood Inundation Study and Emergency Evacuation Plan. Individual building locations and footprints, and flood inundation areas were overlaid with digitized contours at 10-foot intervals. Normal river height and seasonal fluctuations were calculated to allow visualization of multiple scenarios.
