HDM provided services to this major insurance company to enhance the evaluation of the potential risk of current and future insured sites. HDM geocoded property locations and then tied the site location data to hazard data. Each location was 'hazard coded' whereby the hazard code became part of the data record describing the site. GIS queries can identify sites of specific characteristics, and locate documents and historical records of similar sites to assess the potential risk.
