Massachusetts GIS Strategic Plan

HDM and PricewaterhouseCoopers were selected to develop a GIS Strategic Plan for the MassGIS division of the EOEA. HDM assessed the current business environment; evaluated the present use and value of GIS to customers and stakeholders; and reviewed approaches that have worked well for other states and organizations in the areas of GIS and MIS. The final plan enabled more efficient access to GIS information in a shared environment, developed standards for documentation and data quality, and established the framework for users to perform analyses using state-wide datasets.
